Electrical Traction Vehicles

TRACEL has been developing, along with COPPE/UFRJ and national companies, buses with electric traction. Currently develops and integrates three types of technologies:

100% electric bus;
Electric hydrogen hybrid;
Electric ethanol hybrid.

The 100% electric bus contains the following systems:

Energy storage and supervision system: monitors onboard batteries and energy flow;
Traction system: electric motor and drivetrain, which transforms electrical energy into kinectic energy to propel the vehicle;
Auxiliary systems: responsible for powering standard diesel bus components, such as air compression, hydraulics and other electrical subsystems;
Charging system: battery charger converter.

The 100% electric bus design is differentiated by the smart hybridization and integration technologies used that integrate and coordinate the control of the various components of the vehicle, such as the Main Electric Vehicle Control Unit (UCPEV).

In addition to producing and developing components for hybrid systems, Tracel adapts technologies to industrial solutions, always focusing on meeting specific market demands.
