The DC Power Converter Unit belongs to Tracel’s converT line whose purpose is to convert direct current voltage (from DC bus) at input to provide stabilized DC output voltage with characteristics specified for different types of consumers, such as battery banks or sensitive instruments.
Converts direct current input (DC bus) to stabilized DC output for supplying different consumer applications. A built-in transformer with low ferrite core losses adjusts input DC voltage to required output levels and provides galvanic isolation function ensuring high immunity to noise present at input. Voltage at transformer output is rectified by fast diode and filtering stages designed with the desired ripple. EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) filters at input ensure EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) with surrounding systems. Optimum output regulation is achieved by adjusting the PWM duty cycle so that output voltage and current can be controlled and keep the feedback loop stable even if load or input power variations occur. Device control is performed with a state-of-the-art digital signal processor (DSP) that allows high-speed acquisition of sensor data and reliable control.
