The topology of the Double Conversion UPS has as main features galvanic isolation and total autonomy from the grid, where loads are not subjected to harmful energy fluctuations.
The TRACEL Double Conversion UPS is divided mainly into three independent but interconnected subsystems:

The rectifier of Tracel’s Double Conversion UPS was designed with high frequency IGBT technology, ensuring DC link connection reliability with the onboard inverter and battery bank subsystems. The 12-pulse rectifier is combined with active input filtering for low harmonic distortion and high power factor capabilities.
Its main functionality is to sustain continued output to the Sine Wave Inverter and maintain the battery banks in floating state or equalization load through embedded smart control systems.
Sine Wave Inverter: has high performance that ensures total safety and stability to its consumers, operated with high frequency IGBTs and PWM modulation ensuring, by means of its filters, low harmonic distortion with good dynamic response.
Batteries have as a main purpose to supply the consumer with stored energy in case of main grid interruptions. The battery bank charge capacity in Ah for the Tracel Double Conversion UPS is defined by the client’s needs. The rectifier recharges the battery bank according the manufacturer’s specifications and capacity.
In addition to the aforementioned parts, the Tracel Double Conversion UPS has the following equipment:
Safe bypass: in the event of any abnormality of the Sine Wave Inverter that may risk the consumer’s operation, a static transfer switch performs an automatic transfer of energy flow, without interruption, to the main grid ensuring uninterruptible supply to the consumer.
In the Double Conversion UPS there is also a manual bypass system that allows total isolation of the UPS to operate in maintenance or in case of emergency, keeping consumers powered and isolated from subsystems of the UPS.
Communication interfaces: factory standard RS232 and dry contacts for remote event information. Optional interfaces are RS485 and Ethernet.
Energy Efficiency: the Tracel Double Conversion UPS has among other differentials the possibility of adding PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULES and MPPT converters that allow expansion of the battery bank capacity and higher energy efficiency.
Advantages: the topology of Tracel’s Double Conversion UPS is extremely safe, because the consumer’s power supply is totally isolated from the main grid, thus the UPS is immune to any unwanted fluctuations or interference from the grid.
